It doesn't matter how many times you've had a Yon-Ka facial - every time is going to feel like your first. That's because every time you get a Yon-Ka facial, your Royale Maison esthetician will customize your products and facial experience to meet your skin's needs! So, in addition to having the most heavenly, pampering hour or so of time (you choose!), you'll also be treating your skin to exactly what it needs!
Do I sound excited? (That's because I am!)
Here are the things that I learned from Glenna this time around (and I didn't even know most of them!):
My skin is really dehydrated. How is that when I was younger and really paying attention, my skin was oily? I hadn't realized that I had reached the age where my skin might actually be considering getting dry!
Also, I learned that department store products may have beautiful packaging, but they may also be loaded with fillers and even ingredients that might not be so healthy for my skin.
And - who knew? - I should be using eye cream, even at my age.
Actually, what Glenna said was especially at my age. Of course, she said it respectfully, because Glenna believes that everybody needs eye cream at any age.
Glenna recommended that I try her favorite Yon-Ka line. If this is what Glenna uses, sign me up now! Beautiful, smooth skin. Who doesn't want this?
If you've never heard of Yon-Ka, listen up. This line is based on botanical ingredients and homeopathic remedies, and are extremely popular among Hollywood celebrities (including Victoria Beckham, Madonna, Kate Winslet, Kate Beckinsale, Sienna Miller, Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba, Angelina Jolie, Courtney Cox, Hilary Swank, Jennifer Garner, George Clooney, Jude Law, and many more.)
My facial was so good (and can I say, so was the next one and the next one?) that I invested in some Yon-Ka products.
Now, who doesn't have a drawer-ful of stuff that some esthetician/salesgirl/home sales rep hasn't foisted upon them? Well, me, for one. But I must say that after using the Yon-Ka lineup, my skin feels softer and more toned - and I have not experienced the kind of (always shocking) random break-outs that I did when using my "tried-and-true" (but obviously more tried than true) brand.
What I bought:
Creme 83 (Moisturizer)
Gommage 305 (Gentle Exfoliating Peel)
Nutri-Contour (Eye and Lip creme)
Masque N1 (Hydrating mask)
I also got, as a gift for buying six facials, the Gel Nettoyant - which is amazing. It cuts right through makeup (even mascara!) and leaves skin feeling baby soft but not scrubbed by detergent! Perfection! Glenna also gave me a sample of the toner, which so far is great for those days when I need a little purifying action (it's been so cold here that I haven't realized its full potential!, but I like it a lot!).
